Hi there, Linda, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you've stopped by with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! From one mom to another, I understand that planning a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth can feel a little daunting. Hakuna Matata - I'm here to help!
Linda, you'll be happy to know there's no wrong way to "do Disney."
Magic Kingdom Park is perfect for little ones because it's full of attractions and experiences you'll all be able to do together. If you decide to purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll be able to select up to three attractions in advance of your visit for which you can use the Lightning Lane queue. For a first-time guest with just one day at the park, you might prefer being able to move at your own pace rather than trying to anticipate your schedule to book Lightning Lanes. As you're deciding, check out online resources that detail the best strategies for booking Lightning Lanes at Magic Kingdom.
Whether or not you choose to book Lightning Lanes, I recommend arriving early to take advantage of the lower crowds. You can take photos, grab coffee, and do some shopping on Main Street, U.S.A. for about an hour before the posted opening time. Guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels can enter Tomorrowland and Fantasyland
30 minutes early, and the rest of the park opens at the posted opening time.
In Tomorrowland, be sure to ride the
PeopleMover and go to
Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor. Be on the lookout for Character experiences in that area!
Most everything in Fantasyland is toddler-friendly, and there are lots of places to get your wiggles out! Be sure to ride the iconic
Dumbo the Flying Elephant,
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and
"it's a small world." In Adventureland, don't miss
Jungle Cruise - you'll love the Cast Members' quirky humor, and your kids will love riding the boat and seeing the animatronic animals.
If your kids are anything like mine, they might love the
Walt Disney World Railroad, which stops near the front entrance of the park and makes stops in Frontierland and Fantasyland.
Linda, did you know that you can find a
Baby Care Center at Magic Kingdom Park? It's a great place to take a little break, change, and feed your kiddos. That's right - Baby Care Centers aren't just for babies! Additionally, kids under three can eat off your plate for free at buffet and family-style restaurants. I recommend a meal at
The Crystal Palace where your little ones will be visited by Pooh and his friends as they dine.
I hope this is helpful to you as you plan your visit. Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!
See ya real soon!
