Hi there, Elisabeth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I took my daughter on her first Walt Disney World vacation when she was a little over a year old and she enjoyed a multitude of attractions while we were there!
You should know that you can take your 1-year-old on any
attraction that does not have a height requirement. My first suggestion is always
"it's a small world." I will never forget how enchanted my young daughter was with the music, scenery, and all the singing children. Another big hit was
Dumbo the Flying Elephant. This attraction has a really fun circus-themed play area as you enter the queue that is a great place for your little one to burn off some energy while you wait to ride. Another attraction that I like to point out to parents is
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. We found that this either captivated our daughter the entire time, or put her right to sleep. Both were welcome occurrences after a busy day exploring the parks!
Also, don't forget about the
Baby Care Centers located in each of the four theme parks. These are excellent places to change your child, feed them, or even rock them to sleep.
With so much to see and do, your whole party is sure to have a magical time at Walt Disney World. Please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again with any future questions!
