My husband and I are bringing our 6 mo old on his 1st trip to Disney in March. We want to go on rides, but we weren't sure if we could set him on our laps or if we needed to use a baby carrier. Any suggestions? Thank you so much!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dana, we thank you for your question.

How wonderful that you’re embarking on the most unique, unforgettable memories ever by bringing your infant with you. We started our visits with our family at that time as well and have never looked back.

Disney’s Rider Switch Service will enable you both to experience more adventurous attractions while keeping your infant comfortable. Rider Switch allows one adult entry to an attraction, while the second adult waits with the infant in a shady area. When the first adult is finished they supervise the infant while the second adult enjoys the attraction.

Walt Disney World Resort Attractions and Rides offer something for everyone. You’ll all be able to enjoy riding attractions with no height restrictions, while holding your baby in your arms.

Stroller Rentals are available, but for infants I would recommend bringing your own portable stroller for greater comfort. The Disney Resort hotel gift shops and shops in the Theme Parks sell portable, collapsible strollers as well. Please keep in mind that car seats are neither required or permitted on Disney Transportation.

    Tip:
Baby Care Centers are available at every theme park and have private breastfeeding rooms, kitchens for meal prep and diaper changing stations.

I hope this information is useful to you Dana, and wish you a most magical visit. We look forward to assisting you in the near future with your planning.
