Hi! My husband & I are bringing our daughter for our 1st visit in June. It's also her birthday. Can I book fast passes this early on in the planning stages? How many fast passes do we get? Also, are their birthday activities to do in the Magic Kingdom

    Hi Jessica,

It sounds like your daughter will have a fantastic birthday! You must be so excited to make your vacation plans.

You may begin making your FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of your trip if you are staying in a Disney Resort hotel. If you plan to stay off property, you can make FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance. You can choose 3 FastPass+ selections per person/per day that you have a ticket.

When you are in the parks and you have used all 3 FastPass+ selections in a given day, you may then make additional FastPass+ selections for later in the same day by using a FastPass+ kiosk in the theme park. You may do this as many times as you like as long as you use your existing FastPass+ selection before you add another one.

When you arrive at Magic Kingdom park, make sure to get a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button for your daughter from Guest Relations. She will love hearing birthday wishes all day from Cast Members and Characters. You may also enjoy picking up a "1st Visit!" button for each member of your family as a souvenir.

Finally, most table-service restaurants have the option of ordering a 6-inch chocolate or vanilla Celebrate Today! cake to be brought out at the end of your meal. If this is something you are interested in, just let a Cast Member know when you arrive at the restaurant so they can get it ready for you.

For a June vacation, you are free to make all of your dining reservations now, so head over to the Walt Disney World website to get started if you haven't already.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Jessica. I hope your daughter has a birthday she will never forget!

    Happy planning,

    Andrea U.
