My husband and I are bring our 5 girls to Disney next month during Christmas! It’s their first trip and we want to make it magical, especially Christmas morning! Any tips or advice on how we can make Christmas morning in a Disney hotel special for them?

    Dear April,
    That's a great question!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, where I'll be happy to offer suggestions for a Magical Christmas morning at your Disneyland Resort Hotel.
First off, I think it's a fun and festive idea to spend the Holidays at the Happiest Place on Earth. I'm sure your girls will never forget this experience!
In order to get into the Christmas spirit, I would start by packing a small artificial Christmas tree, even it's a small tabletop tree. In my opinion, there's nothing better to illustrate the spirit of the occasion than with a Christmas tree! You can shop for Christmas tree ornaments at the World of Disney store or other merchant locations throughout the resort during the days leading up to Christmas and let the girls decorate the tree with your new Disney ornaments!
Next, I would look into a character dining reservation for Christmas morning. I'm not sure what your girls' ages are– but Ariel's Grotto inside the Disney California Adventure Park features Ariel and her princess friends! You can book a table up to 60 days in advance online or by calling (714) 781-DINE.
If you'd rather stay indoors, I would see about ordering in-room service and asking for Mickey waffles which are always a favorite!
Now, if you really want to splurge, there is an incredible option where Disney will coordinate with you and decorate your hotel room with Holiday decorations, gifts and surprises so that when you arrive, it all looks like a Magical winter wonderland! It's called "Dreaming of a Disney Holiday". The cost is approximately $500 but the room will be transformed to include three bins of Disney gifts and plenty of "reindeer games" and in-room activities for the girls...ChEARs!
