My husband, boys (4 & 6yo) and I are going to WDW for the Princess 1/2. We will be staying 6 nights. I have priced out pkgs with & w/o dining plan. The difference is $957. Not sure if it's worth it.....advice? Thnx!

Hi Julie!  Awww...I have two boys as well, and they LOVE Disney World!  You will be making such precious memories with them.  Mine are 12 and 9 now, and they still beg to go!

I think the Dining Plan is a great deal if you use it effectively.  We like to do a lot of character meals that would cost over $125 alone.  If you did a few of these, plus your other table service meals, you will be saving money.  The key is to plan these meals ahead of time and make your dining reservations as soon as possible.  With a table service, counter service, and snack per day, we would easily spend over $250/day on food.

However, I do know it's possible to save money on food by planning ahead to either bring groceries or buy them from a supermarket once there.  If your budget is tight, then you can definitely get by on less than that $957 dollar dining plan.  It really just depends on whether the dining part of the trip is important to you.

Our all-time favorite character meals are Chef Mickey's, Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House, Hollywood and Vine (with Disney Junior characters), and Cape May Cafe.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
