My husband, me and our 2 boys are booked for 1 day at Epcot on April 1, 2026 in WDW Orlando. My parents plan to go as well, but they have a day left on their 5-day hopper pass and would like to use that for their admission. How do they do lightning lane?

    Welcome to planDisney, Tara!

Oh, what an exciting trip you have planned! EPCOT is lovely at any time of year, but during EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, it is absolutely extra glorious! And a three generation visit? Outstanding!

Tara, one thing I love about Walt Disney World is how easy it is to make plans with others. First, be sure that you and your parents are connected in your My Disney Experience accounts. To do so, follow the steps for adding each other in your Family & Friends List. This enables all of you to make plans for everyone in the group, regardless of which ticket each person is using that day.

Because each of you will have a valid theme park ticket for the day, when one of you begins the process for booking Lightning Lane Passes all of you will be listed as eligible. If you're the planner for the group, simply select everyone in your party as you make your LL purchase in your My Disney Experience app. This allows all of you to have the same ride selections, arrival windows, and more. As you tour and use up those LL passes, any of you will be able to select the next attraction to add to your list of fun for the day. So easy!

Tara, with a three generation trip in the works, you might want to check out Memory Maker One Day. A product of Disney PhotoPass Service, this is a great way to capture the memories while ensuring everyone gets into the picture. As the family photographer, this is the only way I get into the photo; so when we visit Walt Disney World--especially with extended family or great friends--I always say "Let's stop for a pic!" You'll be so pleased that you did.

As you sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your plans for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Tara, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
