Hey there Megan! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your planning questions. I'm not certain why you didn't use the tickets five years ago but I am a child and would have cried. But I am glad you are planning on using those tickets to visit. Let's Help you get everything squared away.
I personally would always recommend starting with the
My Disney Experience App. Make sure your tickets are linked to everyone in your party. You can find this in the bottom option with three lines all the way to the right. once you tap there you will see "Tickets and Passes" this is where you can see if they are linked. If they aren't you can link them by using the "Link Ticket and Passes" option by clicking the blue +.
Once your tickets are linked you can make theme park reservations. I usually start with the
Disney Park Pass Availability Calendar to check and see which parks are available for my dates. then I head to make my reservations on the
Disney Park Pass System. If for some reason during this process, you are having issues you can always
Call Walt Disney World and someone at the Tickets number can certainly help.
If you are having doubts about
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park giving it a second look is always a great idea. My top 3 are easy,
Pandora- The World of Avatar is amazing at night. Just the ambiance is truly unforgettable for any age.
Kilimanjaro Safaris is different every time! Take a ride across the savannah and see more species than most get on a real 2-week safari. Go really early if you can, that's when the animals are most active. And last but not least is the one and only
Flame Tree Barbecue one of my favorite stops for my must-have Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork. I always try and stop by to satisfy the animal inside me after all that walking.
I hope this information is helpful for getting your tickets linked and ready to go. If you have any other planning needs stop by and we will be glad to help again.
Have a magical stay!
Jeremy A.
