If both me and my husband want to book lightning lanes and virtual queues should we log in to the Disney world app with the same account or separate accounts?

Hey there, Angela! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great planning question!

Eeeek! In just days, you and your husband will be embarking on your magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I know you two must be getting so excited! And since you already know all about how to join a Virtual Queue for certain attractions and plan on using the phenomenal cosmic powers of Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes to spend less time in line and more time in the magic, your planning skills are practically perfect in every way. Now, let's tie up your loose planning ends so you can sit back, relax and start your pixie-dusted countdown!

If you and your husband plan to join the same Virtual Queues, make the same Genie+ Lightning Lane selections and/or purchase the same Individual Lightning Lanes, I suggest that you do so at the same time on one My Disney Experience account on the mobile app. To do so, you just have to make sure that you two are connected via your Family & Friends List. When you are joining a Virtual Queue or making a Lightning Lane selection on the app, you will first be asked to confirm your party. The Guest making the selections will automatically be included, and you can select to also include anyone on your Family & Friends List. So, if you are making the selections, you will add your husband to your party and then choose your Lightning Lanes or join the Queue for both of you.

If the two of you want to ride separate attractions, you can do that, too! If that's the case, you will find that you can book separate Lightning Lanes for each of you on one account by selecting or un-selecting Guests when choosing your party, or you can do that separately on separate accounts. Your wish is Genie's command!

One more tip, Angela! When joining a Virtual Queue, fast fingers are the key to success! One way to speed up the process is to confirm your party in advance. A minute or two before you are allowed to join the Virtual Queue, I suggest confirming your party of two. That way, when it's time to join, you can just tap the "Join Virtual Queue" button as fast as possible and be one jump ahead of the rest. Happy joining!

I hope this was helpful, Angela, and I hope you and your husband have the most magical and memorable summer holiday! Please stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way. You ain't never had a friend like planDisney!

    Let the magic begin,
