My husband and I will be there in Aug. Our son, who is in the Military may meet us for the week. I have made some dining reservations for 2, but if he joins us we would be 3. Is it better to call now and change them to 3 or wait?

Hi, Kerry! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I know you must be thrilled at the possibility that your son may be able to join you! Walt Disney World Resort is always magical, but extra family members make it extra pixie-dusted! Please extend our sincere thanks to your son for his service to our country. All of us here on the panel truly appreciate the work that he does!

Kerry, I highly recommend that you go ahead and adjust your dining reservations. It is very easy to remove a member of a dining party, but it can be difficult to add another guest. The modification to your dining reservation, in most cases, can be done online or on the My Disney Experience app. If you find that you are not able to complete this online, then please give Disney Dining a call. As you may have some dining reservations that require prepayment, your credit card will be charged for the remainder of the new balance. In the event that you do need to cancel his spot in your reservation, then that charge will be refunded back to you.

As you approach the date of your vacation and if you are still unsure if he is going to be able to join you, I want to encourage you to go ahead and make FastPass+ selections for him. As with dining reservations, it can be very difficult to add one more person to your FastPass+ plans. However, I have a quick tip to share with you. When I have had a to add a FastPass+ guest, I look for overlapping times for that new guest. If you have a FastPass+ at 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. for you and your husband, you could make a 10:20 a.m. - 11:20 a.m. spot for you son. You could still use them together from 10:20 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

I hope this helps you  plan your magical adventure! Thanks for your question and let us know if you have any others!
