Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tricia!
My family attended
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last year and we had an incredible time! It really is so magical to trick-or-treat all around Magic Kingdom Park, take in all the spook-tacular entertainment, and just enjoy all the frightful fun that is in store during the party. You two are going to have a SUPER night!
According to the party’s
Costume Guidelines for adults, masks are not permitted. (And it’s a good thing Edna Mode has already banned capes, because those are only allowed if they are waist-length or shorter.) I checked with a Cast Member, who said that face paint would be allowed in place of masks.
I wore black face paint on my nose at last year’s party, Tricia, so I have some tips if you decide to go that route. It can get very hot on party nights, so if you’re going to wear face paint, I recommend using a primer underneath and ensuring that you find a paint that won’t run. I recommend packing makeup remover wipes and touch-up face paint in your bag – I had black sweat droplets running down my nose last year, and went through a lot of tissues before I gave up and just wiped it off. Experiment to find a face paint that works for your skin and will last without making a big mess.
I hope you and Mr. Incredible enjoy every macabre minute of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I was able to catch a glimpse of this year’s brand-new
Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular fireworks on my visit a few weeks ago, and it was so, so good. Also, don’t miss the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, which is one of my favorite shows ever at the Walt Disney World Resort. Have a spellbinding time!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
