Hi Rhonda!  That is sure to be one Christmas present that will never be forgotten by your grandchildren!

There are definitely many options to consider when making your reservations to Walt Disney World, and it can seem overwhelming.  I'll get you started with some suggestions.

There are four theme parks in Walt Disney World - The Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and The Animal Kingdom - along with Downtown Disney & Marketplace.  There are resort locations in close proximity to each of these Parks and Downtown Disney.  You may want to consider which Theme Park you'll want to visit the most, and choose a resort closest to that one.

Next, consider budget.  The resorts are sorted into three categories:  Value, Moderate, and Deluxe.  Once you have determined your budget, you can pick the resort that fits it.

There are special packages available that bundle your resort, tickets to the parks, and even your flights available on the Walt Disney World website.  If these meet your needs and the time of year you plan to visit, you might find your best deal among those.

You will also want to research the type of tickets to purchase.  Disney offers several options, including a base ticket, and options that you can add on, which include the number of days you plan to visit, park-hopping privileges, and whether or not you want to get them with no expiration date.

Finally, I recommend that you make Advanced Dining Reservations for any special meals you hope to enjoy, such as Chef Mickey's or any of the other Character or Signature Dining events.  You can do this online, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE, up to 180 days prior to the beginning of your reservation.

I hope this information is helpful to get you started in your planning!  You can do it, and the Moms Panelists are hear to answer any of your questions at any time!
