    My husband and I are arriving Orlando airport at 1:15 p.m. on Dec 04/10, Staying at Pop and using Disney Transportation. Could you make some suggestions for us for the rest of our arrival day. Our first Disney vacation.

    Hi, Peggy!   We usually arrive in Orlando early afternoon, and we don't usually want to rush on our first day!   Here is how we normally spend our arrival day . . .

    When you arrive at your resort, check-in and drop your bags in your room.   Head down to the Resort Food Court for lunch.   If it is a nice afternoon, take your meal outside to enjoy the Florida sunshine!  

    The next few hours are up to you - I would either lounge by the pool or head to Downtown Disney.   Downtown Disney is a great place to spend a few hours shopping, strolling around, or just sitting by Village Lake and relaxing. 

    When it is getting close to dinner time, head over to the Polynesian Resort (you can take a bus there directly from Downtown Disney, or if you are coming from your resort, take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and transfer to the Resort Monorail.)    For dinner, make reservations at Kona Cafe or 'Ohana, or grab a quick bite at their quick service location (Captain Cooks.)   After dinner, head out to the beach to enjoy the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom and watch the Electric Water Pageant as it passes by.   You can ask at any front desk for viewing times.    Advance Dining Reservations can be made by calling (407)WDW-DINE.

    Whatever you decide, take it easy your first day a get a good night's rest.  You will be rested and ready to go the next morning!  Get up early, there is a lot of magic waiting for you on your first Walt Disney World vacation!   Enjoy!
