My husband is arriving 4 days after I am. We’ll be picking up our magicbands at the resort as we live outside the US. If I leave his new magicband in the room and I am out at a park, can he use an old magicband to get into the room and skip the front desk?

    Hi Lori-Ann!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are happy to help!

To answer your question, yes, if everything were to work correctly, then your husband would be able to open the door if you checked him in with you. However, several things would have to happen. The old MagicBand would have to be connected to your husband's name, would still have to be connected to his My Disney Experience account as active, and your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation would be connected to his Disney account.

Sometimes glitches happen, though, so to be on the safe side, I would either leave his MagicBand in an envelope at the front desk or have him stop by to check-in if possible. If he doesn't mind giving it a try first, then perhaps Tinker Bell will sprinkle some pixie dust on him, so Stitch won't mess things up.
