Mom With Kids After Run

My husband and I are around 30 years old, my mom and dad are around 50's and my grandmother is around 70's. How can we get the best of the parks if we all go together? Also, my grandmother can't stay stand too long.

Hi Joyce!  I too am in one of those age groups and won't share which one but lets say it isn't the youngest!  Walt Disney World is indeed the place to vacation no matter what your age might be.  Last year I took my mother who is 85 and she had a wonderful time and still talks about it.

My best suggestion is to relax and not get caught up in the rush.  Use the Fast Pass system for all rides so you are not spending your time standing and walk and enjoy the simple things that are around you such as the topiaries and flowers and general landscape. I know my mother loved just sitting and watching while the rest of us took in an attraction she found a bit too much for her.

Although my mother can walk she too did not want to stand for long periods of time.  Please do not hesitate to rent a wheelchair for your grandmother. Contact your resort if you wish to have one there as they have a small number available for use during your stay. Decorate it and make it a special Disney-mobile so she isn't feeling awkward about it.  She will suddenly realize that it is indeed the best way to go and the rest of you might be asking to take turns!

Plan your days for the parks and study the attraction guide and make a list of what each member of your family wishes to see and do. If you separate, plan meeting places and also make dining reservations so you are together.  The parks have plenty of opportunity for things to do besides the roller coasters!

    Have a great time!
