Hello...my husband and I have already planned our trip to Disney and are super excited to finally tell our boys. But we want to surprise them. Are there any suggestions, tips or ideas that you could let me know about?

    Hi Syreeta!

I am so excited to see that your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner! Get ready for an unforgettable trip!

I absolutely love surprising my kids, so let me tell you a few things I've done. I've put helium balloons in a box and tied a note to the bottom of the balloons that said, "We're going to Walt Disney World!" When the kids opened the box, the balloons floated out with the note attached! I've set up a scavenger hunt around the house, and the kids had to work together to figure out the clues. The final step was to find a wrapped present explaining that we were going to Walt Disney World! You can also surprise your kids with "Goodie Bags," filled with Disney-themed items as well as some fun things to do on the plane or in the car. One of my friends recently surprised her three boys by wrapping six numbered presents. They each got to choose two presents to open. Each present contained a few words, and they had to put the words in order to figure out that they were going to visit Mickey Mouse! No matter how you decide to surprise your boys, make sure you have your have your phone or video camera ready to record their reactions!

I hope this helps with your surprise, Syreeta! Please stop back and let me know if there's anything else I can help answer about your upcoming trip.

Wishing you magical memories to last a lifetime,
    Erin
