My husband and I along with our 4 yr old & my mom are coming to WDW. We will be there in Oct, but when dining plan is not offered for free. Can we purchase it for the 3 of us and mom will pay for food (not on plant) and 8 day pass (tix) separately?

    Carla:

Unfortunately, you won't be able to do what you're asking in association with the Disney Dining Plan.

In order to qualify to purchase the Disney Dining Plan, all parties on the reservations (staying in the same room) must purchase the dining plan for every night of their stay in addition to purchasing at least a one-day park ticket. If your mom is on your reservation, you'll have to purchase the plan for her...

Additionally, it's not economical to buy the one-day park ticket AND purchase an 8-day ticket separately, even if it's from a discount ticket seller like www.undercovertourist.com.  If you're looking for economical ways to go to Disney, keep an eye on their special offers page or visit our Planning & Budgeting section here on the www.disneyworldmoms.com site.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
