    Hi, Kris!

I think it is great that you are planning a few days away from the parks during your Walt Disney World vacation.  This will give you time to enjoy your resort, Downtown Disney, and have some nice down-time with your family.

I like to plan my schedule by using the Crowd Calendar at UnderCoverTourist.com.  They will recommend which parks to visit based on their crowd prediction.  Based on their suggestions, here is what I would plan on:

Oct 24:  Epcot for first part of day, then hop to Magic Kingdom for fireworks
Oct 26:  Magic Kingdom until mid-day, then head to Hollywood Studios for nighttime fun
Oct 27:  Animal Kingdom early, Epcot for nighttime Illuminations
Oct 29:  Hollywood Studios, then after mid-day break choose your favorite park to re-visit

If you decide you want more park days, you can upgrade your tickets, and it really is not that expensive.  I think to go to a 5 day pass from a 4 day is only about $12 per ticket (plus taxes, subject to change.  See guest relations for upgrades and price information.)  This needs to be done before you use up your last day of tickets.

I hope this helps!  If you have more planning questions just let us know. The Moms Panel is happy to help.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
