Hey there, hi there, BreAnn! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question. I love chatting Disney with my pals, pal!
Eek! In just one month, you'll be arriving at
Disney's Old Key West Resort, ready to begin your magical family adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth! How exciting! I felt especially excited when I read your question, because my wife and I took our daughter on her first trip to Walt Disney World Resort when she was 10 months old. I think it may just be our most magical Disney vacation to date, and my most cherished Disney memories are from that trip. Some people told us to wait until she was older, because she was too young to enjoy it, but boy, were they wrong! She seriously had the time of her little life. She twirled her tiny hands and feet with excitement, beamed with joy, smiled ear to ear, and reached out for all of the characters. Seeing the magic through her eyes brought tears to mine, and I cannot wait for the three of you to experience this magic together so soon. Of course, if the 10-month-old isn't rested, no one is having a magical time, so, let's chat about getting you a Pack 'n Play!
While I have had a Pack 'n Play already in the room when staying in a One or Two-Bedroom Villa, we have had to request them when staying in a Deluxe Studio. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" A complimentary Pack n' Play is available upon request, on a first-come, first-served basis, and you can easily add this request to your Resort reservation in advance or when you arrive at the Resort. If you would like to add the request to your reservation in advance and are a
Disney Vacation Club Member, just
call Member Services to add the request. If you are not a DVC Member, add your request by calling a helpful Cast Member with Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936. If you'd prefer, just swing by the front desk to request the Pack 'n Play when you arrive at your magical home away from home.
BreAnn, if you haven't already been doing it, I recommend practicing walks with your little one in the stroller and bringing your comfy stroller from home, instead of renting one. This made naps in the parks a breeze, which was wonderful for all of us! Don't forget to stop by the
Baby Care Centers in all four of the theme parks for changing tables, private nursing rooms, a kitchen to warm bottles, restrooms, and more. I nursed my daughter in the rocking chairs in the dimly lit nursing rooms, and they were the perfect quiet spots for both of us to decompress before getting back to the fun.
I hope this was helpful, and I hope that you and your little one have the most magical time on your upcoming vacation! I have a feeling you will be making your way back to the magic very soon. Please stop by any time with any planning questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
