My husband & I, along with my mom & our 3 children (ages 11, 7, and 6) will be in Florida from March 14-17. We are staying at the Holiday Inn. We want to visit Magic Kingdom, but can you recommend any other activities for a vacation on a budget?

One of my favorite budget friendly activities is visiting Downtown Disney.
My family loves to walk around Downtown Disney where we get to experience all of the Disney Magic and spirit for free!  My kids know before we get there that we are just window shopping and not buying any souvenirs so that takes the pressure off of all of us and we are free to just enjoy sightseeing and each other.
My other tip is that when you are at the Magic Kingdom you can hop on the Monorail (it's free!) and take a ride!  My kids beg to take a trip on the Monorail every time we visit Disney World...well, my husband begs along with them, but I didn't want to embarrass him too much.
You can hop off of the Monorail and visit some of the Disney World Resorts like the Grand Floridian Resort, The Contemporary Resort and the Polynesian Resort. It is really worth sightseeing at these Resorts as Disney puts a ton of magic into the decor and landscaping.  You can usually find my family walking around with our mouths agape going, "oooohhh!".
Doing Disney on a budget is definitely possible and lots of fun! I hope you have a fantastic time!
