Hi Kerope!
A trip to
Walt Disney World is an amazing way to connect and create memories with your grandchildren. Perhaps decades from now, they will take their own grandchildren and reminisce about this special visit.
EVCs are available for rent at all the theme parks. For about $50 a day, you may rent a scooter at the entrance of any theme park. These electronic vehicles may not leave the parks, but the rental purchase is transferable. One payment grants you access to a scooter at any park on the same day.
If your husband needs a scooter for mobility at your resort and to and from the parks, you may rent an EVC from an outside vendor. ScooterBug is the Disney preferred choice and drop off and pick up with this company can be done at your resort without a family member present. You are welcome to use any company you choose, but you will need to meet them in person to receive and return the chair. All Disney transportation is disability friendly.
Golf carts are too awkward and bulky for the parks, so they are not allowed in the theme parks. If you are staying at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, you may rent a golf cart for transportation around the campsites, cabins, and other buildings. Call (407) 842-2742 to reserve one.
Wishing you a wonderful adventure with your grandchildren when you visit Mickey!
