    My husband & I along & our daughter who is 5 will be visitng DW for the first time mid May. We are staying at the Wilderness Campground (camper). What can we expect & what type of transportation is there to & from the parks?

    Hi Terry,

    Fort Wilderness has buses that travel throughout the campground and there are also buses that will bring you to all the main theme parks, water parks, and Downtown Disney.  There is also a boat that will take you to the Magic Kingdom as well as some of the other Magic Kingdom Resorts.

    The resort itself is very large.  When we stayed there we rented a golf cart one day to get around easier and because its always fun to drive a golf cart.  You will find there is a lot to do in the resort and much of it is spread out.  The carts that they rent can be taken to the marina,  the bus stop, your camper, etc. 

    The golf cart is not a necessity, everything can be reached just fine by foot or bus.
