My husband and I would like to have an adult dinner out. I know WDW offers babysitters, but I'm concerned with leaving my children (8 and 5) with a "stranger" What can you tell me about the sitters?

    Hello L,

My husband and I have had a chance to enjoy a couple of date nights when our children were younger, and we took advantage of the child care centers located at many of the resorts.  Their favorite has always been the Neverland Club at the Polynesian, with its Peter Pan theming it was an instant hit.  When you enter the center, you are actually in the Darling children's bedroom; the kids enter the kids' area, they have to "climb" through the window just as the Darling children did to visit Neverland.  it is filled with many centers, such as crafts, games (both old-fashioned and electronic), etc.  Dinner is an option for the kids, too, if you'd like. In fact, they were crushed when they had officially outgrown the center. We also like the proximity of the resort to many of the close by signature dining restaurants at both the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary.  We knew if we had to get back quickly, it was a short monorail ride back to the Polynesian.

If you'd prefer a private babysitter, Disney utilizes Kids Nite Out.  In fact, they can even be hired to help you out at the parks if you'd like an extra set of helping hands. There is more information about the company along with testimonials that may help you with learning more about them at their website:  www.kidsniteout.com.

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!  I hope you are able to enjoy a date night soon!!
