My husband will be able to transfer from a wheelchair but he needs his cane to stand. Will he be able to take his cane on the rides with him?

    Hi Terri ~
It is great that you are planning ahead for your husband. That will make your trip so much smoother once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney World does a great job of providing for Guests with Mobility Disabilities.  There are some attractions that he will be able to bring his cane on-board with him. For those attractions that will not allow him to keep his cane with him, he can leave it with a Cast Member and they will have it waiting for him at the end of the attraction.
Some attractions have a moving sidewalk in the loading and unloading area. They can slow down or stop most (not all) of the moving sidewalks to assist your husband if he needs additional time. They cannot slow down or stop Peter Pan's Flight or the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. Tell your husband to take his time and don't feel rushed. If he needs the moving sidewalk stopped or slowed down, just ask the Cast Member before he steps on.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions.  We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
