Hi! This is Hugo. I’ll be in Disneyland Resort the weekend of January 20-22. What rides will be closed during that time? I just realized I will be missing the 100th celebration and the opening of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Train.

Hi, Hugo! Welcome to planDisney! I am so delighted to help you today.

I see that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort in just a few weeks. That is so exciting! You can expect the following attractions to be closed during your visit:

      • Tarzan's Treehouse™
      • Indiana Jones™ Adventure
      • The Disney Gallery
      • The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
      • Radiator Springs Racers
      • Grizzly River Run
      • Fairfax Market
Keep in mind that Refurbishment Calendars are always subject to change. I recommend downloading the Disneyland Mobile App to be up-to-date with any changes to this schedule. You can find this by pressing the collapsed menu on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Then you will select the "Park Hours & Info" button. Scroll to the bottom of your screen. There you will find what is closed for refurbishment based on what date you select on the calendar.

Unfortunately, you are correct about missing the Disney100 Celebration. However, there is still so much to do and experience! In Disneyland, I recommend watching the Tale of the Lion King show in Fantasyland Theatre. Are you a fan of Star Wars? Make time to travel to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. There is so much to do, eat, and experience there!

I am not sure if you will visit Disney California Adventure Park during your trip, but if you are, I recommend partaking in the Lunar New Year Celebration. It begins on January 20 and is a beautiful celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday. If you are a fan of parades, I recommend watching Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession. It is so fun and great for all ages! And if you are a foodie, I recommend purchasing a Sip & Savor pass to enjoy many of the Asian-inspired dishes from the Lunar New Year Marketplaces.

Although you will not be present for the beginning of the Disney100 celebration, what better excuse than to book another trip to the Disneyland Resort to experience it? We will be celebrating all year long!

Hugo, I hope you found this information helpful. If you have any more vacation planning questions, please come back to ask. Have a fantastic trip and Happy New Year!

    Your Pal,
    Alejandra
