I just got a huge surprise when our school posted the schedule 2012-2013...a late start to Christmas break so my plans have gone out the window! I'm now looking at post Thanksgiving. How bad are the crowds (Sun-Tues after Thanksgiving)? Must see MVMCP!!

    Hi Susan,

I'm sorry to hear about having to re-plan your Walt Disney World vacation due to the school calendar. As a mom, I completely understand how that school schedule can completely throw off a well-planned trip!

So, let's see if I can help you find an alternative.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving begins to see diminishing crowds. And by Tuesday, you'll experience a nice touring atmosphere! In fact, I would recommend attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on that Tuesday evening after Thanksgiving to get the most out of the festive event. If the main purpose of your trip is this holiday after-hours party, then definitely choose Tuesday night over the more crowded Sunday evening.

Best wishes to you as you re-schedule your vacation.
