    I am a huge fan of spaceship earth, and i heard they recently changed the ride. Have you been on the new one? Is it better/worse? How does it compare to the old on?

    Indeed Spaceship Earth went through a "makeover" recently  You might not notice many changes during the first half of the ride but they actually updated a lot of the audio-animatronic figures and freshened many of the scenes.  The second half of the ride is now a wonderful and fun interactive experience.  The vehicle cars all have flat screen tv's and as you start to descend downward you will use these to answer several questions.  Suddenly a cartoon video plays and you will hear many giggles from surrounding vehicles.  I don't want to spoil it for those that like secrets so I will leave it at that!

    Is it better or worse is going to be a very personal question to ask yourself after riding it.  Being one who has been to Disney and EPCOT since opening, I have only fond memories of Walter Cronkite's narration for Spaceship Earth and have missed him dearly.  But I did enjoy the new concept for this ride and will enjoy it every time I go.

    Hopefully you can make a visit to Walt Disney World soon and have a first hand experience on Spaceship Earth!
