Huge fan of the panel! Heading back to WDW May 13-18. Last year my twin DD 5 held signs to get picked for Jedi Training Academy. From what I have read kids now can wait in line to get chosen. How early should we get there to get chosen this year?

    Hi Nancy!
Thanks for being a fan of the Moms Panel!  I have to admit that I am a huge fan of the Moms Panel too (as well as being a member of it) because of the wealth of information given by such incredible Walt Disney World experts!  I learn new things daily from my fellow Moms answers to the guest's questions.

Yes, the process of selecting kids for the Jedi Training Academy was changed in late 2009.  Now it is a line that the children wait in for their turn at becoming a Jedi in Training.  I would recommend that you get there at least 20 to 30 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin, to start waiting in line.  Also, I would advise you to try to be at the first show of the day because this show or experience is quite popular and more people will be trying to get their kids in the show as the day progresses on.

I hope that the Force is with you on your trip to Walt Disney World and that you kids have a magical time at the Jedi Training Academy!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
