Hi Kathleen! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm thrilled to see that you will be arriving for your stay at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa tomorrow! This gorgeous resort is my family's absolute favorite and I know you will love it. I could sit in the lobby for hours while taking in the sights, sounds, and smells! It is dreamy!
I recently helped my parents plan an extended stay at this same Disney Resort hotel and am happy to pass along how we planned their days. First, we planned a longer stay without
Park Hopper Option tickets so they could go at a slower pace. They knew they wouldn't want to hop around to multiple theme parks in the same day, but they would want to return to each theme park more than one day so they didn't feel pressured to get everything done in one day.
We also planned multiple rest days during their vacation. This would allow them to stroll around the resort and take in all the amazing amenities, spend some leisurely time at
Disney Springs, and even play a round or two of miniature golf! Recharging your batteries for more theme park fun is essential!
You may want to arrive at the theme parks early, take a midday break, then return in the evening. My family usually arrives early because our kids are early risers, spend all day at the theme parks, grab an early dinner, then head back to our resort to get some rest. If you're a night owl, your schedule may be the opposite! Allow yourself to be flexible depending on the day. The magic will be waiting for you!
I hope this helps a bit, Kathleen! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
