Hi my hubby and I are taking our 5 year old autistic son to Disney World over Christmas 2014. I have read several comments and they are so helpful. Thank you. My question is where do I start? I am so overwhelmed with how much there is to do. Thank you

    Dear Monique,
I'm absolutely delighted to know you've found some useful information right here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel site; we love being able to sprinkle some extra pixie dust on families visiting Walt Disney World Resort!
Christmas is such a magical time to take a vacation at Walt Disney World Resort, but I do understand the seemingly overwhelming task of planning for it.  Lucky for you, you've come to the right place for some advice!
I'm presuming here that you've already arranged your Walt Disney World Resort package with accommodation and Theme Park Tickets.
Firstly, have you created a My Disney Experience account yet, or downloaded the invaluable My Disney Experience Mobile App?  Both these brilliant planning tools will contain all your Resort, Ticket, Dining Reservations plus more besides and are an integral part of your families Disney experience!
Frighteningly Christmas is only just over 6 months away, with this is mind it's time to start thinking about making Advanced Dining Reservations which may be made up to 180 days in advance. Reservations can be made via My Disney Experience or by speaking with a Cast Member on 407 939 3463.
Perhaps you may find Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities to be a useful resource for travelling with your darling little boy.
I hope I've been able to give you a head start on planning for your Christmas vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, if I can help you further please come back and ask me another question.
    Have a great Disney day.
