Hubby returned from a 2 yr deployment, the 4 of us are going to WDW in Nov. I'll be by DL soon & want to surprise 2 friends. That's 7 tickets, but two different locations. Can I do that without messing up my family trip?

Hi, Andrea! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

How exciting that you’ll be able to visit both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort within the same year! I was able to do that in 2017, and I used the Military Promotional Tickets on the West Coast for my husband, daughter, stepson and myself, and we were also able to use them on the East Coast to take family to Walt Disney World Resort. I just spoke with a Cast Member to make sure you’re still able to do so, and he said that whichever tickets you purchase for one Resort should not impact your eligibility for tickets at the other. You can reach out to your local military base to verify that, though.

Did you know you can order your Walt Disney World Resort Military Promotional Tickets in advance from Shades of Green? Just contact their ticket sales office and they’ll let you know what you need to do to verify your eligibility. That way you’ll have your ticket numbers in hand to add to your My Disney Experience account so you can begin booking your FastPass+ reservations as soon as you’re eligible. If you’re staying off of the Walt Disney World Resort property, you can make those selections up to 30 days in advance, and if you’re staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel (including Shades of Green), you can make your selections up to 60 days in advance!

Disneyland Resort’s FASTPASS system works a little differently, and since you aren’t able to make those selections until you’re in the Theme Parks, there isn't as much need to have your Theme Park tickets in advance of your visit. In addition to purchasing them through your local military base's ITT/MWR office, you can also purchase your Military Promotional Tickets from the ticket kiosks located between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, but you’ll need to make sure you have your valid U.S. Military photo ID in order to do so.

I hope you have an excellent adventure at both The Happiest Place on Earth AND The Most Magical Place on Earth, Andrea! Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you as you plan your visits.
