My hubby and I are planning on bringing our own snorkel gear to Castaway Cay, however I have read that we will need life vests, are those provided? Are they an extra charge, and if so how much?

    Ahoy, Laryssa!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question!

I'm so happy to hear you've booked a cruise that features a stop at Disney's gorgeous private island, Castaway Cay. The island is most definitely my family's happy place!

The crystal blue snorkeling lagoon on the Family Beach is the perfect place for snorkelers of all skill levels to check out the awesome marine life - and maybe even spot a Hidden Mickey or two!

Guests are more than welcome to bring their own snorkel gear to use at Castaway Cay. Snorkelers are required to wear life vests while in the lagoon. Bright yellow life vests are provided free of charge at Gil's Fins and Boats or at Flippers & Floats. The vests are thin, and you can inflate them to your comfort level. I've found the vests to be very comfortable when I've snorkeled there!

I hope this helps with your planning and packing. You're in for a day of splashtacular fun when you visit Castaway Cay!

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
