Hubby and I have a package booked for December with tickets. Hope to upgrade tickets to annual passes on our first day there. Will upgrading to passes cause us to lose our park reservations and any dining reservations we might have? Thanks

Thanks for stopping by planDisney Jacqueline. You picked a great month to visit, the parks are always dressed in their holiday best.

Planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort takes planning and you seem like you are planning to keep the magic flowing all year. Being an Annual Passholder was a bucket list of mine and I became one this year. I truly hope you join the Passholder crew during your visit this December. All of your reservations will be on your My Disney Experience App and you will not lose the dining or park reservations when upgrading your base tickets. That means all those wonderful table services or character meals you reserved will be waiting for your arrival.

While you visit you should make sure you take advantage of all the Passholder benefits. I always recommend adding the Memory Maker option. It makes every visit memorable instead of picking and choosing if you want it for this trip or the next. Keep an eye out on the My Disney Experience App in the “Passholder Buzz” area for early access opportunities, special Passholder-only food options, and limited-time discounts. My favorite Passholder tip is to refrain from buying drinks from anywhere but in retail locations. If you plan on getting a bottled beverage there is more than likely a close store you can pop into and grab that water or soda and get your discount for it. It may not seem like much at first but if you buy 15-20 bottled drinks throughout your stay that’s a good amount of savings. And you could be spending that money on more Mickey-shaped snacks.

Stop by planDisney.com for tips and planning advice anytime. Hope your December visit is a memorable one!

    Have a magical stay,
