My hubby has 100% disability rating. Would he get a discount and if so could you tell me what the discount would be and if he would get the onboard credit of W250.00 for 2026 cruises.

    Ahoy, Jennifer!

Welcome aboard planDisney! First off, from one military member to another, thank you to both you and your husband. As Mufasa would say, you’re part of a long, proud line—and Disney Cruise Line goes the extra mile to honor those who serve. So let’s take a look at these offers and make sure nothing slips through the cracks like Scuttle trying to explain human stuff.

One important thing to keep in mind is that Disney’s special military rates are not guaranteed on every sailing. They appear based on Disney’s operational needs and typically pop up closer to the sail date—usually around two to six months beforehand, though they can show up earlier or later. The discount isn’t a fixed percentage either; Disney Cruise Line sets the rate for each eligible itinerary. My family and I love taking advantage of these when we can, especially if we’re feeling flexible in our travel dates—it’s a bit like catching Maui mid-shapeshift: timing matters.

Now, since your husband is a 100% Permanently Disabled Veteran, he does qualify for the special military rate as long as his military ID reflects his disability status. You can browse the Special US Military Rates page to see which sailings are currently offering discounted fares. Just keep in mind that since these rates tend to drop closer to the sailing date, some of the most popular activities or Port Adventures could already be booked once your window opens. It’s not impossible to still get great options—think of it like grabbing a spot on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad right before a parade—but availability may vary.

As for the Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with a $250 Onboard Credit promotion, this is automatically added when you book an eligible 2026 military-rate sailing on the Disney Wish or the Disney Dream. If you find a Wish or Dream itinerary in 2026 that doesn’t currently offer a military rate but you still want to book it, you may still qualify for the onboard credit—you’ll just want to give Disney Cruise Line a quick call so they can sprinkle the appropriate pixie dust onto your reservation.

I hope this helps you chart the right course as you plan your adventure at sea. Navigating military rates can feel a bit like decoding the map in Atlantis, but once everything lines up, the treasure is absolutely worth it.

Sea ya real soon as the tides turn toward thankful hearts and joyful journeys,
    Dustin
