Going with my hubby dec 8-13th. Would like some input on what to pack for the appropriate weather. We are staying in all star music and have never stayed before at this resort. Is it a good one? Are the parks really busy these days?

    Hi Sarah,

Yes, Disney's All Star Music Resort is an incredibly fun place to stay.  You are going to love the larger-than-life decor at this resort.  You'll be able to get some excellent pictures there.

I was at Walt Disney World last year during the exact same week you are going.  It was very cold at night so do bring appropriate winter weather.  A light jacket with a hooded sweatshirt underneath may be a suitable substitute for a full winter coat if you prefer not to bring one.  Also, bring something to cover your head and hands.  For instance, if you wish to go to the Candlelight Processional one night during your trip (which I highly recommend), you'll want to keep those fingers warm.  During the day, however, it can be delightfully moderate in temperature so you may want to have some light clothes (t-shirts, etc.) in your suitcase too. I think the overall key to dressing successfully for the weather in December is to have layers.  Then you can add or subtract a layer to your ensemble as necessary.

Park attendance in mid-December is moderate.  You'll be getting there before the big rush during the week between Christmas and New Year's Day.  There will be some lines at the most popular attractions but I think you'll find that this is a delightful time to visit Walt Disney World.

    Have fun!
