    Be there 08/26-09/01 w/ hubby. Booked AKL. Put in request for king bed. I know requests not guaranteed but how likely will I get king bed? Debating on switching to POR & paying for a king room ($). I'm afraid I'll b bummed if no king bed when we arrive

    Hey Katie! One of the hardest decisions about planning a Disney trip is what resort to choose. You are correct in that room requests cannot be guaranteed unless it is something you have paid for in advance such as suites, water views, king beds, etc. Even on rare occasions those bookings must be amended due to capacity at those resorts but that doesn't happen very often. If your heart is set on the king bed then the best thing to do is to book a room that guarantees it through the cost difference from other rooms at that resort. Resorts really do try to honor all requests but if they don't have a king room then there is nothing they can do to make one for you upon arrival. Your chances would be good to get the king but certainly not guaranteed.
