I am going to HS in 2 weeks and have a few fastpasses and dining reservations planned. How does that work with the boarding group? I know I have an hour once the group is called, but what happens if that is during a reservation or fastpass?

Bright suns, Sabrina!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu.

I'm sure you are looking forward to living your very own Star Wars adventure at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.  I would be happy to help you work out all of the logistics so that you will be able to experience everything that Black Spire Outpost has to offer, as well as all of the other off-planet activities throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios.

If you are able to obtain a boarding group number for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you will have a window of time within which to arrive at the attraction once your boarding group is called.  This gives you a bit of flexibility to work around other plans such as FastPass+ times and dining reservations.  You will be able to follow along on your My Disney Experience mobile app throughout the day to see which group numbers are currently boarding the attraction.  This should help to give you a rough estimate of when your boarding group might be called.

Dining reservations and FastPass+ times can be modified using the My Disney Experience mobile app, so if it's looking like your boarding group might be called at an inconvenient time, you could try to modify your existing reservations.  I would recommend monitoring the boarding groups throughout the day.  If it is getting close to your group being called, be sure to visit your FastPass+ attraction as soon as the time window for it opens so that you can free up your schedule as much as possible.  If it is looking like a scheduling conflict will be unavoidable, you may want to speak to a Cast Member at Guest Relations.  You can even look for the blue umbrellas throughout the park to locate the Guest Experience Team.  Perhaps those Cast Members would be able to assist you in working out a scheduling conflict.

Sabrina, I will be sending lots of positive thoughts throughout the galaxy in hopes that everything works out for you during your visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  I have a GOOD feeling about this!  May the Force be with you!
