9/2 HS has EMH 10pm-12. Fantasmic showing at 8:30 and 10. Is it worth keeping kids (5 and 2) up for the 10 show during EMH? would the wait/crowds be much different? This is our arrival day so we will not get till HS till around 4. BBB next morn 9:40. TY!

Hi Jessica!  Welcome back to the Moms Panel.  I really think you should re-think your plan of waiting until the 10pm Fantasmic show.  The ages of your little ones make this timing very difficult, especially considering you will likely have travelled all day to get to Walt Disney World.  Having an early morning appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique the next day, makes it all the more important to ensure that your kids get a good night's sleep.  I recommend the 8:30 pm show if you have your heart set on seeing Fantasmic! the first night, otherwise I would wait until later in your vacation.

I can't stress enough how "un-fun" a vacation can become (even at Walt Disney World) when kids are over-tired.  It's really best to let them set the agenda based on how they're holding up.  I've seen many families dragging miserable and tired kids around the theme parks, and it just isn't fun for anyone. Sometimes it's best to sacrifice an evening show in order to have an excellent day with everyone having a good time.

Jessica, I hope this helps you to make your decision, and I wish you and your family a fun and magical Walt Disney World vacation!
