Greetings, Cynthia!
Thanks for bringing your wonderful questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My very first visit to the Disneyland Resort was actually with my high school marching band in 1999. That trip really sparked my love for this historic destination, and now here I am getting to help Guests experience the magic for themselves. Performing in such an iconic location is also going to be something you will cherish for a lifetime. Make sure you take plenty of pictures, as I still look at my photos in awe of where this journey has taken me from that day with my high school band!
I think wearing coordinating or matching Disney-inspired shirts is a great idea for a group vacation. It also helps you keep track of each other when in a large crowd. I have personally made shirts for my family, and I think it's a fantastic way to prepare for your trip with a little extra pixie dust. I definitely understand your concern about not wanting to violate any copyright laws. Typically if something is merely inspired by a Disney Character or film, it's safe to use, whereas a direct copy is not. To be on the safe side, I'd recommend checking out the brand new line of customized shirts available on
shopDisney.com. This new line JUST came out this week, and I really wish I would have had this as an option when planning outfits for my previous vacations. There are some unique, professional designs that you can have customized for your needs.
I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
