We have only about 2-3 hrs to spend in Downtown Disney. What would be your top recommendations for spending our time? Thank you for your great advice.

    Hi, Teri!

    Great question!

We LOVE Downtown Disney, and there is surely so much to do there, you could easily spend a whole day and night. However, in just 2-3 hours, you can easily get a taste of the highlights and feel that you've spent those hours wisely.

First, book an Advanced Dining Reservation at one of the fantastic Table Service restaurants in DD. Each one has its own vibe and specialties, so choose one that appeals to your group on this trip. if you'll be arriving early (breakfast, anyone?) or don't want a TS meal, I wholeheartedly recommend that you dine at the fabulous Wolfgang Puck Express, a Quick Service restaurant in DD's Marketplace area. We never miss a visit there (sometimes 2!) on our family trips to WDW...it's that good! (Best QS on property, in my opinion...)

Next, try a ride on Characters in Flight, one of the World's largest tethered balloons, which will offer you a fantastic view as well as a great story for years to come. Don't miss World of Disney, which is the World's largest Disney Store, too; even if just window shopping, we love to see the latest items here. Team Mickey has unique sport and ESPN-themed items, while Tren-D is a great spot for more, well, trendy things for fashionistas. We always stop into Disney's Days of Christmas for some souvenir ornaments to commemorate our trip as well.

Of course, you must stop at Ghiradelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop, for a free sample of chocolate (!) and perhaps the most delicious sundae you've ever had (hot fudge is made on-site daily.)

Send more questions as you think of them, Teri; we love to help!
