What hrs are Mickeys Xmas parties on 20th/22nd? Would it be better to visit MK park Thurs.19th before Xmas party (8-6) or attend Xmas party.. if mainly Interested in rides?(but would like to see Santa in Once upon a Christmas parade). Is 23rd too crowded?

A Very Merry Christmas to you, Sheryl!

You are going to have a great time visiting the Most Magical Place on EARth during the Most Wonderful Time of the yEAR! We just returned from an EARly Christmas visit to Walt Disney World Resort and attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It was my second time attending, and I loved every minute of it! The atmosphere is merry, the treats are delicious, and the Park is full of holiday chEAR!

Party hours are the same for both December 20th and the 22nd. The merriment starts at 7 p.m. and ends at midnight. You are more than welcome to enter Magic Kingdom Park at 4 p.m. to get an EARly start on your festivities. Make sure to get you VIP armband from the Cast Members at the front of the Resort before you head into the Magic. The band will distinguish you from other Guests once the party starts.

If you are mainly focused on the attractions, visiting during the party is ideal! Most of the iconic attractions will be open, and since there are fewer Guests in the Park, most of the time, there is little to no wait on the rides. My husband’s favorite ride is Peter Pan’s Flight, which usually has an hour-long wait. During the party, we waited for about 15 minutes, max!

As for the Christmas crowds, well, let’s just say that lots of friends will be experiencing the holiday magic with you! But you know what? It makes the experience even better! Everyone is in a festive mood, and I love celebrating with new family and friends. You will have longer wait times than during the party, so make sure to take advantage of FastPass+ so you can skip some of the standby queues!

Sheryl, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I wish you a fab-YULE-lous time!
