Hey there, hi there, ho there, Chris!
You and your trip-planning questions are as welcome as can be at planDisney. The planDisney panelists take great pride in sharing our knowledge and experiences with Guests. I've done some research on the topic of
delicious and creative adult cocktails and it would be an honor to share my findings with you today.
There's consensus amongst my panelist pals that
Nomad Lounge is a favorite place to enjoy a refreshing cocktail on Walt Disney World Resort property. Located in Disney's Animal Kingdom park, next to
Tiffins Restaurant on the way to Pandora - The World of Avatar, Nomad Lounge fosters Guests' spirit of wanderlust in a comfortable setting with a large selection of
delectable drinks. Jenn's Tattoo is a personal favorite while Tempting Tigress and Hightower Rocks also got multiple votes. The delicious cocktails pair well with other menu items such as the churros or, my go-to, the impossible sliders with yucca fries.
Word is getting out about this exotic oasis, which is currently only available for walk-up Guests. I recommend joining or keeping an eye on the walk-up list in the
My Disney Experience mobile app early in the day if this is a must-do experience. To do this, click the magnifying glass at the bottom of the My Disney Experience mobile app home screen and enter "Nomad Lounge." An estimated wait, dependent upon party size, will appear. Click on the restaurant's name and "Join Walk-Up List," if available. You must be close to the lounge to join the walk-up list.
Valid admission and a
Disney Park Pass reservation are currently required to access this in-park offering.
Your thirst for adventure can also be quenched at
Tambu Lounge, located on the second level of the Great Ceremonial House at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This tropical hideaway is home to the whimsical
Lapu Lapu. Nothing says I'm on a magical vacation quite like drinking from a pineapple! The Magical Star Cocktail gets points for nostalgia as it's considered a bi-coastal oldie but goodie. Tambu Lounge is easily accessed via boat from Magic Kingdom park, or couple it with a reservation at
'Ohana to include prime parking.
Other specific cocktails worth mentioning include Kiwi Coconut Rita at
Yak and Yeti in Disney's Animal Kingdom park, Lavender Fog at
Enchanted Rose in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini at
California Grill in Disney's Contemporary Resort. Lastly, for an out-of-this-world libation try a Fuzzy Tauntaun at
Oga's Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios. My taste buds still tingle at the thought of this creative concoction!
Plan magic; planDisney.
