Howdy! Thanksgiving '19 is late next year. What is the earliest that a calendar of events for Nov/Dec would be published? Are you aware of any big events going on that would prompt heavy crowds in Nov/Dec? (Races, new openings, special events?)

    Welcome BACK, Eugene!

Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays is always a good idea. Don't forget to plan some non-park time to check out the Winter Wonderland decor at Disney Springs, as well as the larger-than-life Gingerbread displays at various Disney Resort Hotels.

This is a great question as something is always going on at Mickey's House! The current Walt Disney World Resort event calendar goes out six months in advance, and official announcements are made around the same advance time-frame on the Disney Parks Blog.

While I don't have the proper Magic Mirror to see every event as most dates are still unannounced, I do know that the brand new Star Wars Land - Galaxy's Edge is set to open in the late fall of 2019, which is going to be a big deal. Disney's Wine & Dine Half Marathon usually happens the first weekend in November. And don't forget about the many great fan-inspired, unofficial Disney events, like Dapper Day, where guests don clothing styles of yesteryear and play in the parks the way Walt did in a suit and tie. (Bonus Tip: Keep your eyes peeled for the brand new Disney Parks Moms Panel class, who gather for their new roles at the end of November/beginning of December.)

Your best bet right now would be to base your 2019 visit around the 2018 event dates, or to do some googling to find more complete official and unofficial event calendars on various fan blogs.

I hope this helped, Eugene, and We'll See You in 2019!
