Howdy! I have been researching our upcoming and FIRST trip to Disney World using the wonderful guidance of this site. We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside and will have our own car. Should we drive to the parks, or use Disney transportation?

    Hi Michelle!

I have been so many times to Walt Disney World I'm starting to lose count! I've both driven there and flown on various occasions and times of the year. To me, while the Transportation System at Walt Disney World is very effective; having your own vehicle is the best form of getting around all of the parks and resorts. When you arrive at Port Orleans Riverside, they will give you a parking pass for your resort and will also allow you to access the Disney Parks' parking free of charge. You will also be able to visit the other resorts as long as you show your resort room key. This lets the gate guards know that you are staying as a Walt Disney World guest.

Thanks for all of the kind words Michelle! If you have additional question, we are always here to help! Have a Magical Day!
