Hiya Jennifer,
Welcome back to planDisney! I hope your planning for your kid-free sister vacation is going well. I know I gave you many ideas last time, but I’m happy to hear that
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour resonated with you.
Thank you for your excellent question. I’m sorry I didn’t check your date when we last spoke before recommending Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I recently learned that tours such as Keys the Kingdom are not offered during specific peak periods, such as the holidays. Since runDisney race weekends tend to lead to larger crowds, my guess is that it likely qualifies under that rule. I wanted to double-check, so I asked a Cast Member to check the dates for the
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend for me, and the Keys to the Kingdom Tour is not being offered during that time. Several other incredible
Enchanting Extras that I mentioned the last time we spoke are still open during that weekend, so if you still want to go that route, I suggest checking those out. I know I previously mentioned dining as a way to level up your adults-only vacation, and I would love to put in one more recommendation for a location. Another spectacular place to visit is
Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. My partner and I recently dined there, and it was incredible. If you go there, I highly recommend the
Blackberry Tartlette; it is the most amazing dessert I’ve had in a while and an indulgence fit for an adult-only vacation.
I wish I had happier news to report for you, Jennifer and I hope this doesn’t put a damper on your plans. Please come back and see us if you need anything else!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
