Howdy Amy!
It's so sweet of you to stop by planDisney and dish out such a tremendous compliment. I reel-y enjoy finding new ways to showcase my love of planning and executing magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations. Thanks for noticing!
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is an evening full of delectable dinner, folksy fun, and compelling comedy. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the Pioneer Hall Players' performance with a gingham-clad party of seven, so let's dig into all the delicious details.
Come hungry because you will be greeted at your table by a plate of House-made Cornbread, Creamy Coleslaw, and Hoop Salad - and that's just the beginning! Between laughs, cast iron vessels of Crispy-fried Chicken and Smoked Barbecued Pork Ribs are served along with sensational sides of Mashed Potatoes, Cowboy Beans, and Cornbread-crusted Macaroni and Cheese (my personal favorite). In other words, Americana on a plate. All-you-care-to-enjoy dishes and bottomless beverages make this dining experience a wise investment. Beverages include a selection of Coke products, Lemonade, Sweetened or Unsweetened Iced Tea, Apple Juice, Milk, Twining's Hot Tea, and Joffrey's Coffee. Alcoholic selections included for Guests over the age of 21 are Chardonnay, Merlot, Bud Light Lager or Yuengling Lager Draft Beer, and Red or White Sangria. A specialty cocktail, The Giddy-Up, and an assortment of Local Craft Beers are also available for an additional charge. Dessert is the show-stopping Strawberry Shortcake, which is worthy of its own song and dance.
I'm as corny as Kansas in August, but even those with a drier sense of humor will find it hard to resist the appeal of the high-spirited cast and zany antics of Six Bits Slocum, in particular. In fact, I found the audience almost as entertaining as the talented performers. Those swivel chairs definitely came in handy! If laughter is timeless, then you're bound to have the time of your life experiencing this legendary Disney dining experience in December.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue happens at Pioneer Hall at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Pioneer Hall is a
boat ride away from Magic Kingdom Park; please allow up to 90 minutes of travel time. My pals and I opted for
Disney's Minnie Van service, ordered via the Lyft app, which dropped us off right at the Settlement Bus Depot.
Wishing you and your kinfolk a very merry December visit, Amy. Do the hokey pokey and return yourself to planDisney again soon!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
