Howdy Kevin!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Happy Anniversary and congratulations on the pregnancy! My husband and I have taken a couple of Babymoons to Walt Disney World Resort, and I have visited many times while pregnant.
My 2nd trimester trip was the easiest for me, because I was feeling good and could still walk without a waddle like Donald Duck. Plus October is a wonderful time to visit for the fall decorations, some cooler temps, and the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. I ate my way around the 'world' and used the eating for two excuse a lot. There's no shame in my snack game.
I suggest packing a variety of shoes for your wife to alternate such as sneakers for the morning, and flip flops in the evening in case her feet swell. Or pack the shoes she is most comfortable wearing while pregnant.
I recommend talking to your physician about the attractions she would like to ride. Here is a list of attractions with the
Expectant Mother Advisory. Every woman is different, so please talk to your doctor about your wife's specific needs. Also, don't forget to pack any vitamins or medicines.
Hydrate! Make sure your wife drinks plenty of water. Even if it is not sweltering hot outside, it's important to drink those fluids. You can always ask for a complimentary cup of ice water at any quick-service dining location.
Slow it down. I recommend taking things at a leisurely pace. Just like toddlers need breaks and naps, so do pregnant women. Enjoy yourselves!
If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon. Have a very magical vacation!
