Howdy! My Family is going to Disney World in November with EVERYONE! We will have 14 people (8 adults/6 kids). When my dining reservations become available, will I be able to make reservations for a party this large on the app or should I call instead?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Aubrey!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! Wow—what an adventure you’ve got ahead of you! A family of 14 heading to the "Most MAGICAL Place On Earth" in November is going to be one unforgettable trip filled with laughter, enchantment, and plenty of Mickey-shaped treats to go around. I’m so excited for you all to experience the wonder together because it will be a trip talked about for years to come!

Wrangling a party of 14 for dining is definitely possible, but it takes a bit of strategy. On the My Disney Experience app or website, you can usually make reservations for up to 20 people, but big groups often find fewer tables available all at once. Sometimes the system may only show openings for smaller groups (like 6 or 8), so a helpful trick is to split your party into two reservations close together in time and note that you’re “together” when you check in at the restaurant.

That being said, if there’s a special spot you absolutely don’t want to miss—like Cinderella’s Royal Table or ‘Ohana—it can be worth giving Disney Dining a call. Cast Members can sometimes see options the app doesn’t show, and may help link your reservations so your party can sit near each other. Keep in mind that even if you’re booked as two separate tables, restaurants often do their best to seat large families side by side, though it’s not guaranteed.

While you can book on the app, I have had much better luck calling and speaking to a Cast Member when I need to make large group dining reservations. The earlier you book once your dining window opens (60 days in advance and opening around 6:00 a.m. EST), the better your chances will be of getting everyone together at the same table. Either way, with a group that size, your meals are going to be a celebration all on their own—full of laughter, stories, and lots of Mickey-shaped food MAGIC!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
