Hi Jonas,
I happen to be at Saratoga Springs right now. Just as the name alludes, its is fashioned after Saratoga Springs in upstate New York. We chose a studio and really like it. It gives you more square feet than a typical resort room. I really like that it comes with one queen sized bed and convertible couch. During the day you really appreciate all the living space. They also have a kitchenette, a TV with a DVD player, an outside sitting area, and for a fee high speed internet. It is wonderful having the kitchenette. It comes stocked with disposable cups, bowls, plates, etc. It also has a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave.
The
Artist's Palette is a casual eatery. They have a good selection of quick meals that you can either eat there or take back to your room. They also have a selection of foods that can be made back at your room. For example you can get a bag of bagels and a package of cream cheese. One thing to note is that there is no room service, but you can get a pizza delivered.
The resort is located within walking distance of
Downtown Disney. All other parks can be reached via the resort buses. At Community Hall they have plenty of arts and crafts projects for kids. You can borrow a number of games or a DVD, which comes in handy if your looking for some down time. For adults, there's a golf coursetennis courts, and a spa right on property.
Every resort has its own story and its hard to say which is better. This one really transports you out of Florida. You don't see any sand or palm trees, only beautiful grounds with great smelling flowers and pretty ponds.
Hope that helped,
