What hours will the monorail be running on Thursday and Friday January 23rd &24th??? We will be staying at the Polynesian so what is the best way to get to MK, Epcot and Hoop Dee Do Review? Thanks!!!!

    Hi Kelly,

One of the many great things about a stay at the Polynesian resort is its proximity to Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center. My family spent Thanksgiving week at the Polynesian, in the part of the resort closest to the TTC. We loved being able to access the express monorail and the Epcot monorail so easily from our room.

As you likely have heard, the Resort and Express monorails are undergoing maintenance, beginning this week, between 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. If you are traveling to or from Magic Kingdom during those hours, you will want to use the ferry service to the Transportation and Ticket Center or the water taxis from Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian. Or you can take a bus. Extra boats and buses will be available during this time.

The Epcot monorail from the TTC is not affected by the maintenance schedule.

To get to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, I would take the ferry or water taxi to Magic Kingdom and transfer to a water taxi for Fort Wilderness. I would allow at least an hour and probably more like 90 minutes for the trip, allowing extra time in case you have to wait for one of the boats.

If you have any questions on site, I'm sure cast members will be provided to help point guests to the alternate transportation and keep traffic flowing as efficiently as possible.

Enjoy your visit to the Polynesian and to Walt Disney World.
